Slowest Eater Ever!

6.11.2008

Ok this is my cry out! Does anyone have a toddler that refuses to eat at the same pace as the rest of the world? She will eventually eat, but it may take 3 hours! I swear I have the slowest eater in the world! If anyone has tips for me to get this little one to eat in a more timely manner please send me your advice!!!

May day and Cow Cow's

5.02.2008

So as most of you know may 1st was May Day... So Brooklyn comes home from school and tells me that because it's May day she is supposed to wear a flower dress or a "cow cow" what she meant to say was muu muu, but it was so cute how she insisted to wear a cow cow!
This photo below is from last years May Day!
She's been practicing really hard for this years show... pictures to come at the end of the month.

Brooklyn Ballerina

Little ballerina, so she thinks! Brooklyn now loves ballet! Ever since the Nutcracker, she has wanted to be "the ballet girl on stage" She does pretty good considering she's never had a class, but she often puts a little groove and hula into the mix!

What a Ham!!

My Daily Inspiration!

4.19.2008

Well Grace made 2 months today! And it's been very diffent from Brooke (the old saying no two kids are alike is true- so to all of you about to be second time moms and dads, don't think for one min that you know what to expect because it won't be the same!) Regardless of how easy or difficult your older or younger one is there IS light at the end of the tunnel AND moments like this keep all of us going!

Brooke is SOOOOOOOOOO happy, she doesn't care that Grace is giving her the "Im about to cry" face.
Finally one for the grandparents where they are both looking at me
(the hard one believe it or not is Brooke- she wants to look at Grace!)

My time "off"

4.13.2008

Well as most of you know I am on maternity leave right now, but that will soon be coming to an end. I have been spending lots of time with little Grace working on the feeding and sleeping schedule. Grace is not to fond of the sleep thing and wants to be held constantly while awake, which makes it very hard to get anything done!
She is growing more by the day and starting to be more interactive with you, smiling and she has what is the begining of a laugh when she finds something funny; however it sounds more like she is choking or gasping for air!
Brooklyn is adapting well to being a big sister. She is very good with Grace and wants to help with everything "but the poopy diapers!"
The break has been nice but it's almost time to get back to my other love...PHOTOGRAPHY!
Some snapshots I have taken over the past few weeks, we of course will post more as they come along!

Yes? Grace is a very alert baby!

This is the pick me up look!

Easter with the girls

We had a field trip with Brookes school- she got to fly her fist kite and they had a fun little egg hunt for the kids.

then once we came home we had Easter Egg Dying...Brooke as always, loves to color and RE color the eggs so it always takes a while to do them all. Grace was not sure what to make of it all- however she was very impressed at her big sisters sillyness!

I love Grace's face looking at Brooke!

Easter Day- she looked like a princess

A SMILE!!! Grace smiles a lot for a little one, but it seems when I am ready to take photos she isn't!

Announcing...GRACE!

3.13.2008

Well we all waited and waited and waited and finally... may we present... Gracelyn Olina Dieterle! She weighed 7.04lbs and was 19 inches long. She currently has blue eyes and very blond hair, but as we all know that can change! We are all doing well, Brooklyn is being a great big sister to Grace, giving her lots of kisses and hugs when mommy and daddy allow :) those of you with more than one I am sure you understand this part! IF it were up to Brooke she would be carrying her around in her baby doll carriage and carriers and eating plastic bottles and "air food" (that's the pretend food we eat when Brooke cooks us dinner!)

All is well...

Brooke got this cute little apron and hat from her friend Saffron for her birthday and just love pretending to be a "cooker" as she says. She was cooking hard for Papa T!

Baby #2 is on her way!!!!

11.27.2007

Ok... here they are... my belly shots! We have been waiting to announce the pregnancy on the blog until we had some images to go along with it. So finally (after almost 8 months) we had the chance to take some... on our recent trip to Utah...
To answer the questions...that everyone asks....
it's a Girl...according to Dr's
She is due in Feb
Yes...Brooklyn is SO Excited to become a big sister and we too are excited to finally have another addition to our family!
And the big question all you brides ask.............when will you be shooting and how will this change things
WE will still be shooting as a team, still offering all the current services and products (and maybe more new ones soon), really the only change will be we will not be shooting until June 1st 2008.Once we do resume we will resume with a limited number of bookings each month until baby is older. So what does this mean for you?....By limiting the numbers of clients we take we can provide outstanding service to each individual couple, so if you are interested in our services- Book as soon as you can, once we have reach our monthly max we can not take more.

Brooklyn Pumpkin Patch

Every year since Brooke has been born we have brought her to the pumpkin patch! Her first year she just sat on a pile of pumpkins, the next year she tried to eat the pumpkins, last year we let her walk the fields without holding our hand and she fell over and over and was covered in dirt. This year she was so excited because we went with her school and they said you could have what ever pumpkin you could carry out...she set her sights big and had a grand old time!!

She had a very hard time getting the pumpkin in the bag and once she got it (with our help) she had an even harder time carrying it!

A smaller more manageable(sp) pumpkin we ended up getting too...Daddy carried the big one and we got the small one for Brooklyn to carry!

Disney World in a day

11.21.2007

A few of our favorite shots from our one day at Disney!

Chocolate ears!!!

Nap time... she was so tired she refused to wake up even after I put her shoes back on!

The begining of the Snow White ride...she was very excited to see Snow White and the 7 dwarfs...but instead we saw a whole lot of the SCAREY witch! Warning to parents...don't bring you kid on this ride!!!! It's awefully scarey for the little tykes!

So grown up!

8.22.2007

Ok so a few days ago after Brooke's bath I got her out of the tub as usual and went to get her school clothes while she was to brush her teeth. When I walked back in the room I saw her putting my deoterant on as big as ever! So I quickly ran out to the office, grabbed a lense, card and camera and ran back in before she stopped or noticed me...I couldn't resist...it was just too cute! The things little ones do to try to be just like us...

Brooklyn's First May Day Show

6.16.2007

Brookes May Show was so cute! I cried with joy at all the little ones dancing and singing their little hearts out! Because of school policy, I can not post any of the photos from the actual show; however we went to the beach later that day and took some more photos of her in her pareo and haku.

I am not real sure what part of the May Day show she thought this was, but she wanted us to photo her "new dance"

Brooklyn's Video

6.01.2007

I have to share this with everyone! Janice and Daivs from Video 21 Productions put this together for Brooklyn's 3rd Brithday. They mostly shoot weddings, but they also can do babies, graduations and lots more. We have watched it hundreds of times (I think it's Brooke's favorite movie he he).

Janice and Davis...THANK YOU Both so very much for doing such a wonderful job!

and because every post needs a photo... I love this one of Brooke and her friend trying to stay dry at the beach!

Easter Part II

4.24.2007

Every year we (the mom friends with no or little family here) get together for Easter and do a little egg hunt and dinner at our house. This year's Easter was small but loaded with fun! Brooklyn was old enough to know what to do and be excited about doing it- and at points jealous that others were doing it too--and a little upset with Mr. Easter bunny for putting mommy and daddy candy in HER eggs!

The contemplation...

The Hunt...

The comparison- odds are stacked against the boys with little baskets!

Didn't your mom teach you not to count your eggs before they hatch...I felt so bad here I had this ecstatic child overwhelmed with a basket of eggs full of candy and some cookies that were sugar free of course- (if you know my kid you know why I say that!) yet I had to sit with her and take away the candy- Kinda like Halloween they got bagfuls and couldn't have any. I often think that we ate candy and it didn't kill us, but none the less they say it can hurt them so she can't have it- I know mean old mom!

Trying to sneak a little candy...caught in the act!

End of the day...Ok lets take a group photo- what a great idea! If any of you parents (I say specifically parents because for some reason they will do it for non parents) have ever tried group photos on this age group you have probably seen this face too! My daughter and apparently her friend did not want to take a picture- this is the reaction we got per the request....

Easter Morning

4.17.2007

Brooklyn was so excited about the Easter bunny coming that she could hardly sleep...she woke up bright and early (unusual for her) and said "mommy I think I hear the Easter Bunny down stairs..." in this undercover whisper voice as if she didn't want him to hear her. Then she proceeded to David... "Daddy, wake up, let's go see the Easter Bunny" Of course when we got down stairs she could not find the basket, so the search was on...then finally she saw it!

She see's it! The inspection!

Counting all her chocolate eggs...

The lick of a jelly bean

The reaction!

The Silverman

4.14.2007

WE were invited by some friends to go to dinner and hang out at their hotel room. The big attraction (for the kids) was the silverman street vendor. They all liked him until he moved!

Brooke before dinner being silly as usual! I try my hardest to dress her like a little princess, but you can't take the kid out of the kid no matter what they look like!!

Love the balloon hat!!!

Brooklyn without her glasses

Some pics of Brooke playing without her glasses...a rare site now a days- she LOVES her glasses and for good reason...she can't see without them! Sometimes though she likes to take them off for a while, so I quickly grabbed the camera and took a few shots of her playing!

Being a princess!

Our little artist! At least she is coloring on boards now...used to be the walls, sofas etc...of course now that I said this I am sure I will find marker on one of my walls!

Can you see the blue chair she drew...it's an exact replica of the purple and gold chair beside :)

It's never to early to start feeding the piggy bank!

David and Brooke eating icecream and laughing!
